Allie & Frank [Hoboken Engagement Session]

When we met Allie & Frank – I knew we were meant to photograph their wedding. We were their photographer soulmates. Everything they told us about their upcoming wedding sounded so perfect and the more we talk about it, the more excited I get. So when we started their Engagement session and she told me they decided upon Hoboken – it seemed even more meant to be! Jose was born and raised in Hoboken and for a long time in our relationship, we never left Hoboken to do anything and so I’ve grown to love it and feel as though it was my home too! As we planned where we would take their photos, I could sense the excitement in Jose’s voice. He was happy to be back in his hometown photographing this adorable couple.

The title of this blog post really should be Allie & Frank … and Harold! Who is Harold? Their adorable year old bulldog! Harold tagged along with the four of us on a beautiful day in Hoboken to capture Allie & Frank’s Engagement photos. Actually, Harold is an AWESOME photo-bomber. He hated not being in the pictures and just wanted to be around his mama and papa. He is the cutest! With their wedding right around the corner next month, it was fun to get them out of the house and stop planning to just enjoy the afternoon together. They live in Hoboken and have a love for the home they’ve made there with Harold and it all tied together perfectly. We are SO excited to photograph their Morristown wedding next month! So enjoy their Engagement photos and be sure to send them some love

Goodbye DVDs… HELLO PASS!

We are so thrilled to finally explain to all our future clients the beauty of our online gallery – PASS! We LOVE PASS. It has made our business so much easier and is about to make you, our client, so much happier. We have been using our PASS galleries on our past couple events & have nothing but rave reviews from our clients about it! But what is PASS? It is an online gallery of your high-resolution photos! Instead of providing ALL our clients with CDS or DVDs of their photos – we will now only be using PASS. For our wedding clients, we’ll be providing a USB on the side of the online gallery so they will have another way of accessing their wedding photos but we will no longer be providing our wedding clients with CDs/DVDs. I don’t know if you’ve all heard but the new Apple Computers no longer have CD drives!! CDs are becoming extinct and we need to change with the times! And PASS is the the future! A beautiful online gallery holding all your photos for you to easily access and share.

But there is something different about it compared to other online galleries we’ve used in the past. It’s sleek looking. Your photos streamlined together look amazing!

It’s very easy to navigate. But the best part of PASS? How it’s perfect for sharing! In the day and age we live in, we are all about sharing our pictures on Facebook with friends and family and with PASS you can easily do so! When you click on a picture you like, on the right of the screen you’ll see little icons that you simply click on to at any moment share, email or download!

Our clients always worry how WE will be getting the credit and acknowledgement for taking their pictures (aren’t they the sweetest?) But no worries! PASS takes care of that for us by automatically linking the photos back to us

And for the PINTEREST obsessed out there (like me!), you can easily PIN your engagement or wedding photos to any of your boards! And it links right back to us too

Like we said, for those of you that don’t want to share your photos on facebook but still want to share with family – you can easily email them or download them to share yourself. You can also make a folder of your favorite photos and… what is that word all the way on the bottom? PRINTS?

You read right! Just recently, PASS has added a PRINT option – making your life ten times easier! Now if you simply want to print ANY of the photos you love in the gallery, you hit print! And the prices are incredibly reasonable!

The prints are sent off to our favorite printing lab, WHCC – fantastic high resolution prints easily sent to you! Did we mention you can use PASS on your phone or iPad?? You can! You can easily download your gallery to be SAVED as an APP to access it anytime! And not only that – but you can order prints off your phone or iPad ANYTIME! How AMAZING is that? Don’t you hate when you need to be at your computer to do something? With PASS, you don’t have to be to order some beautiful prints to your doorstep

Done! How easy is this? Seriously – you guys are going to LOVE PASS! It is making our business so much easier. Delivering photos to our clients so quickly never felt so good! And to know they love it is making it worth it! We are so excited to continue using PASS for all our future clients and decided it was time we introduced you to what would be coming your way!

Sabrina & Dave [Cloister Engagement Photographer]

Sabrina and I go way back.. no WAY back. Like knowing her when she was in the third grade, dancing to the Spice Girls, riding bikes, singing in a “girl group” together way back. Naturally, when she contacted me earlier in the year to shoot her and her lovely fiance, Dave’s engagement photos – I was overly excited! Honestly, I was smiling the entire time I edited their photos! Their love radiates in their beautiful photos!

Dave and Sabrina are two people that you know are just meant to be. When they met, they instantly became good friends and eventually a couple. 5 years & one beautiful ring later – here they are anxiously awaiting their wedding next year! When Dave bought her engagement ring, he couldn’t stand waiting a second later! He thought he had staged the perfect proposal – leaving the ring on top of her phone, which she checked every morning. As luck would have it, this is the one morning she wouldn’t check it! And when he informed her she “had a text” – she saw the ring and than stared at Dave, a little confused. “Is this a joke??” she asked – but of course, she said yes! I LOVE their proposal story cos it’s sweet and romantic, just the two of them enjoying their happiest momentDave is a warm and kind person and I knew very quickly after meeting him that she was marrying a GREAT guy! And Sabrina? Well Dave, you KNOW you’re marrying a great girl!

I couldn’t be happier for you both & wish you nothing but the best! We hope you love and cherish your photos – we had such a great time hanging out with you guys and wish we could relive this day over again

We started out in the Cloisters with the most perfect light surrounding us!

I’ve NEVER had a couple be so instantly comfortable and picture perfect! They were serious naturals

The Cloisters is a gorgeous museum owned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, hidden away from busy Manhattan – and a beautiful view of the Hudson River. And now my new favorite spot for Engagements!

The photo below is a great example of why 2 photographers are better than one – while I was shooting straight ahead, Jose got this great shot from the side!

After the Cloisters, we headed back to New Jersey to grab some photos overlooking the Manhattan skyline!

I thought their second outfits were so cute – and so them! Shoes really do say so much about someone’s personality

I LOVE the photos below… because when I felt ready to move to a new spot, they sat on the bench and just kept talking and laughing like we weren’t even there! I HAD to grab these shots of them being 100% themselves with each other Seriously – you guys are the sweetest!!!

Summer Bucket List! [personal post]

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!! Is it just me or once Summer starts creeping around the corner – you just can’t help but make a mental checklist in your head of ALL the things you’d like to do before the temperatures drop again? I absolutely love summer, like most people I’m sure, because only in the summer can you do certain things – at least here in New Jersey when we experience all 4 seasons is summer like that! Go the beach? We only get 3 good months to do this! Wear flip flops? Same time period! And only in the summer do summer movies in the park and concerts in the park pop up! Today I’m sharing my bucket list! Jose is one of those husbands that goes with the motions and though he has a few things to contribute to our bucket list – it’s safe to say the majority is mineWe have a VERY busy summer lying ahead with a TON of weddings and shoots so I’m hoping we’re able to squeeze in time to do most of this!!

Go to LOTS of baseball games

Get ice cream and take a nice walk together

Enjoy lots of family barbeques [since we don't have room for a grill in our apartment, we have to mooch off people for this one but we'll bring the beer]

WHOO! So much to do – and not much time to do it! lol I am hoping we get to cross a lot off our list this year!

Fabiana’s Communion Day [Verona Portrait Photographer]

Fabiana was making her First Communion when her parents decided to contact us for some pretty pictures of their daughter on her big day. Fabiana was so beautiful in her little white dress & though she seemed a little nervous in the beginning to get her picture taken, she quickly became comfortable and completely let go and enjoyed the day with us. We had such a fun time walking all over Verona Park [a hidden gem in New Jersey!] and than to their church in Cedar Grove. We made sure to get lots of pictures of Fabiana with her sister, Dania, and the love between these two sisters touched my heart. They truly love and care for each other and had such fun posing together! It was such a thrill meeting these lovely girls – especially since I’ve only known them when they were babies! Their mom, Delia & I worked together years ago & so did her husband, Felix & Jose! What a small world! So when she contacted us, we were thrilled to take their photos! I hope to work with their sweet family again and again in the years to come [the girls gotta get married, right?]

Delia & Felix, we hope you LOVE your photos of Fabiana [and Dania!] We loved spending the day with your sweet family and hope you cherish them for years to come.

We moved over to the beautiful Willow Tree in the park to take family portraits… it’s amazing how different the light is under these gorgeous trees!

We than made our way to their gorgeous church for some pictures before her Communion

While they attended their mass, we went to The Grove – a gorgeous banquet hall in Cedar Grove – to take photos of their party. While we will keep their party photos private for them, we couldn’t help but share the space! It was gorgeous!
