Angela & Bill [Baltimore Engagement Photographer]

Time is a funny thing. When you leave high school, you assume you won’t be hearing much from a lot of the people you went to school with. Angela & I both went to high school together – we were in the drama club together, had mutual friends in the same circles and hung out a lot. Years later, here we are following each other on Instagram and Facebook. I excitedly sent her a CONGRATULATIONS! when I found out she got engaged last Christmas to Bill [like Jose & I did 4 years ago!] and told her we were wedding soul mates when I found out her wedding colors are gray and yellow. Seriously, could there be a more perfect bride for me? So when she got in touch with us to do their Engagement shoots I was beyond excited! There might be a tiny bit more pressure shooting someone you personally know but I didn’t feel it. I was more excited to be the one to share their love with them in something that will last forever – their photos!

A few weeks ago we met Bill and Angela in their beautiful city of Baltimore, Maryland. We absolutely love to travel, especially to states we haven’t been to, and as we walked around for a few hours with them and listened to all the things they both love about their city we really did begin to fall in love with to. And of course, their gorgeous corgi Stella tagged along for the shoot. We started their shoot at Federal Hill Park where Stella is THE STAR of the park! She knew almost every dog that walked by and they loved her! Stella has her own Instagram account by the way! Be sure to follow her @stella_the_corgi :)

Angela and Bill, we had the best day with you & Stella! We hope you have the best time planning your destination wedding and hope you love your photos!

look at that face! Stella is a beauty

the photo above is one of the first photos we took – and I KNEW it was going to be a great shoot right away! such cuteness

Angela made this adorable sign for them to use in their save the dates!

love Stella looking up at them so lovingly:)

we had the most perfect day for their photos in Baltimore!

we made our way down to the American Visionary Art Museum where they had the most fascinating sculptures -like this egg below!

LOVE this photo!

a picture under the LOVE sign at the AVAM was a must for them – and we LOVED it!

we than made our way down near the Harbor for some shots by the water:)

such a cutie!

Angela & Bill told us how Baltimore almost knocked down the DOMINO Sugar sign – but the people of the city demanded they keep it & they listened! It’s now a city staple in the skyline. Love it:)

Angela you are gorgeous!

we than made our way back to Federal Hill Park… and climbed the grass [yes, the grass] to get back up hill!

love these photos!

the picture on the right was taken at the bottom of the hill… and we climbed up all that to get to the top where the rest of the people were!

Stella is their baby and I love how their love for her shines through in these photos.

her face here cracks me up!

I loved Angela & Bill’s outfits! They didn’t match but complimented each other so perfectly!

seriously Angela – STUNNING!

I loved the city streets of Baltimore near Federal Hill – the sidewalks, the colorful doors, every house is so unique!

And we will end this session with Stella and her adorable out pointing paws!

Leave Angela & Bill lots of love in the comments below!:)

Disney World [Oh the Places we go!]

If you know me, you know that I love Disney World. No I LOVE Disney and everything that comes along with it… but the love I have for Disney World is pretty incredible. I’ve visited it 6 times in my life already and now Jose and I have officially joined the Disney Vacation Club! Which long story short means every year, we are taking a trip to Disney! There is no greater joy I feel than seeing my husband has grown to love Disney World as well … maybe not as much as me but he sure does. Disney World is at the top of our okay my list for the places we love to visit! [And I pray every night for the opportunity to shoot a wedding there!] Disney is for all ages, young and old! Even if you don’t have children, it is to be enjoyed! And you WILL love your day [or week] at Disney! There’s so much to do, so much to see and they are CONSTANTLY adding new attractions and updating old classics to live on forever. I’ve been there 6 times and there are STILL things I haven’t done! Trust me – it never gets old:)

There is A LOT to do and see at Disney… so for this post, I’ll share the things WE absolutely love at Disney! WARNING – THIS IS LONG! But VERY knowledgable!:)

we love the Main Street Confectionary in Magic Kingdom – and took home one of those big rice crispy mickey mouse heads that lasted us DAYS!!

Magic Kingdom is where Cinderella’s Castle is located – and anytime I see that castle, it brings tears to my eyes!

EPCOT’s greatest feature is it’s World Showcase where you can shop, eat and drink your way through 11 different countries! We enjoyed a wine flight in France and it was so good!

Our favorite country to “visit” is Mexico – With DELICIOUS food, a great ride & authentic Mexican detail – it brings us right back to our Honeymoon in Mexico!

EPCOT is probably our favorite park to visit – we could spend a whole week there!

Animal Kingdom is a small park & closes earlier than the other parks – but it’s gorgeous! With GREAT rides and shows all themed around animals!

The best attraction at Animal Kingdom is Kilimanjaro Safaris – it’s like riding through an actual safari in Africa!

A MUST DO at Disney World – MICKEY MOUSE ICE CREAM BARS!! They hit the spot on HOT humid florida days and can be enjoyed daily without ever getting old:)

Staying on Disney Property is the best bang for your buck! And even the resorts are themed! The cheapest to stay at are the Value Resorts – the movie, music and all star sports resorts! We stayed at Movies last time and were blown away at how themed out it was!

Our room was located in The Mighty Ducks section!

Magic Kingdom truly is magical… and Cinderella’s Castle is breathtaking!
In February, WE MET MICKEY AND MINNIE MOUSE!! It was so much fun and I truly believe Jose was starstruck!
There are five themed lands in Magic Kingdom – adventure land, frontier land, liberty square, fantasy land & tomorrow land!

Magic Kingdom has daily shows and parades – there is always something happening! And you WILL see Mickey Mouse up, close and personal:)

Hollywood Studios is the most popular park for people seeking big thrills! The BEST thrill rides are at this park – GO EARLY!! Waits for the rides can go for as long as 2 hours [trust us, we know:(]

Hollywood Studios is themed after… HOLLYWOOD! And the golden age of film and television!

The best thrill rides… the hollywood tower of terror & rock n roller coaster with aerosmith!!

If you are going to Disney for a special occassion – make sure to let them know when you visit the parks! Any of the employees [or cast members] will be happy to show you were to get your own pin! Last time we went, we found the BEST cast member who gave us two of each pin!! I was SO happy!:)And of course – you can trade in your dollars anytime for the highly coveted Disney Dollars!

Go late to Magic Kingdom – the magic never ends there! With late night parades, fireworks, shows & no lines on the rides -its the best time to go!

Always a beautiful sight…
Magic Kingdom just revealed a HUGE expansion to Fantasy Land – and it’s still growing! One of the best new attractions is the Little Mermaid ride!
A classic… and a MUST DO! The Haunted Mansion!
New Fantasyland also holds the Be Our Guest restaurant – themed after Beauty and the Beast! It’s AMAZING!! And super yummy:)
Must of all – just enjoy it all and soak it in! We are already planning our next trip to Disney next year [this time - we are switching things up & heading to the coast and beautiful weather, DISNEY LAND!!]

Sneak Peek: Angela & Bill [Engaged!]

A few weeks ago Jose & I had the privilege to travel down to beautiful Baltimore, Maryland for the day to capture Angela & Bill’s Engagement photos! As they prepare for their wedding next May, we had a great time walking around Baltimore with them and visiting their favorite spots in their beloved city & began to fall in love with Baltimore too! Oh, did we mention their adorable corgi Stella tagged along with us? She was the star of their shoot! For their sneak peak we decided to share one of our favorites with Stella taking center stage!

Be sure to check back on the blog here soon for the rest of the Engagement Shoot! LIKE us on Facebook to stay updated!

the theme for this three year olds birthday was Curious George! What an adorable theme!

I loved the personalization of the pictures of her through the years hanging over the craft table!:)

these kids were busy doing three different crafts for two hours! Loved this one – making the man in the yellow hat’s hat! and the birthday girl couldn’t help but get a peak at some of her presents at the end of the party:)

Two Years… [personal post]

This day two years ago, I woke up more calm and at peace than I had in a long time. I wasn’t nervous or worried or scared… I was completely content. I knew everything would be okay. Because that was the day I’d be marrying my love, my partner, my best friend. Two years ago today, Jose and I said “I do” and it’s been a wonderful two years. As we watched Liz & Ryan’s Amazing Life Together Webinar together, we both found ourselves discussing our own marriage. We realized that, so far, our marriage has been really great and easy. Sure we have arguments and disagreements but there hasn’t been one that has discouraged us or made us think we had made a huge mistake. We always find a way to talk through our problems, figure out what we’re doing wrong, and a lot of the time… just let the little things go. We’ve made our love and happiness our first priority.

These past two years have been great! We are constantly learning from each other and enjoying more wonderful experiences together. We support each other in all tasks and adventures and we will continue to do so and continue to put each other first:)

We decided to spend our Second Anniversary down in Atlantic City yesterday and today! We are happily enjoying our time eating yummy Japanese food, drinking champagne, eating breakfast in bed in our robes & of course doing a little gambling and shopping. Having fun just the two of us:)Sharing one more photo from our wedding – because we love photo booths [and offer them with our weddings packages now!] But don’t mind my sister photo bombing in the last photo!
